Professor Gonzalez is well known for his innovation in engineering education and the development of low-cost prosthetics for the developing world. The World Health Organization estimates that more than 25 million amputees in the developing world don’t have access to even basic mobility devices. Over dinner he will elaborate on his quest of designing a low-cost, polycentric knee that is cost effective for the poorest of the poor.
